SleepSite is a website dedicated not only to health care workers but also to anyone who might experience problems sleeping.

This website was developed by Louie Moffatt and Arrsalan Nayle as apart of a Balmacewen Intermediate School P.B.L Aspire Project.

There are many solutions. We advise you try Meditation or White noise to help sleep. It's also a good idea to ensure that you have comfortable bedding and a comfortable bedroom.
Some things to keep in mind when meditating include:
  • Find a place that you personally find comfortable
  • Set a timer (How long it is is up to you)
  • Attempt to focus on your body and breathing patterns - you should be able to feel yourself breathing deeply.
  • notice when your mind has wandered - try to correct it, but remember to be nice to yourself.
  • if you want to, close your eyes. it cant prevent distractions from having an affect on you.

If you are concerned that you have an undiagnosed sleep disorder, seek out a health proffesional for a consultation. Do not self diagnose yourself!
White noise is a loud noise that you find calming. Some common white noises are static, waves, rain, thunder and other soothing sounds.

You can play the noise before or during sleep, or even when you just want to calm down when you're feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
